I don't know its use and when using it it just doesn't seem to work since the icon doesn't even appear under my life bar. Does anyone know why that happens? Or if there is a condition for it to work...

as far as we know, most of it's effect are self-buffs so it should work without an active target. there are no conditions to activate it and it should constantly drain your hp while active.

the missing icon may be a graphic glitch, but if your hp doesn't decrease then it is most certainly bug.

does this always happen or just once?
sometimes an unstable connection can cause skill loss. (e.g. consuming mp to cast Familia but nothing happens)

Apparently it gives me several things in addition to debuffs and increases the charges of my "soul hunter" so it seems to work but the icon is not visible, it's weird XD
